Figure has returned to BMW Group Plant Spartanburg with Figure 03. The new deployment focuses on sequencing parts for the assembly line, where objects can arrive shifted, rotated, or partly obscured.
The robot uses Figure’s Helix 02 system to coordinate its hands, arms, torso, and feet while it picks components and moves a wheeled cart. That makes the demonstration more demanding than a fixed pick-and-place routine.
The company says its previous Figure 02 deployment contributed to the production of 30,000 vehicles in 2025. The new test is aimed at showing whether a general-purpose robot can handle more variable logistics work.
